How your reports are numbered
이 주제는 아직 한국어로 제공되지 않아 영어 원문을 표시합니다.
Every report gets its number once, and the number never changes. A revision keeps it; a cancelled report keeps it too, marked void, so every number is accounted for in the report register.
Choose how numbers look
In Settings, Reports, under Numbering, pick one of the ways shown. Each card shows the first two numbers it would give, made from your own projects and methods:
- One running number: 0001, 0002, across the whole company.
- A sequence for each method: UT-0001, MT-0001. This is where every company starts.
- A sequence for each year, from January: 2026-0001, and 2027-0001 next January.
- For each method, each year: UT-2026-0001.
- For each project and method: U400-UT-001.
- For each project, each year: U400-26-001.
Or choose Your own and build the number from its parts: the running number (with as many digits as you like, up to six), the project code, the client's code, the method, the year or its last two digits, the month, the office, the asset's tag, and the characters - / . _ between them. Under A separate sequence for, tick what starts its own count: each project, method, year, office or month. Whatever you tick must show in the number, or two counts would give the same numbers; the page tells you as you type.
Numbers already given stay as they are. A new choice applies from the next number.
When a report gets its number
By default a report is numbered when it leaves draft: when it is sent for review, or issued where there is no review. If your technicians need the number in the field, for example to name scan files, choose As soon as it is started.
A client who dictates the number
Some plant operators set the report number for every job done for them, such as KPO-UT-2026-001. Give the client a code on its page, then tick Number this client's reports its own way and choose the numbering there. Every project of that client then counts in its own sequences. A single project can still have numbering of its own, which comes first.
If a number carries the client's code and the client has none, or the asset's tag and the report is for no asset, the report is not numbered until that is put right. The checks before issue say what is missing.
Starting from a number you already reached
Moving your register over from somewhere else? In Settings, Reports, First number of a new sequence sets where every sequence that has not started yet begins, for example 458.
For a sequence already counting, open the Report register. The Sequences card lists each count with its next number and the last number it gave. An owner or admin can choose Set next number. A sequence is never set at or below a number it has already given, because it would give that number again. Each change is recorded in the activity log.
Numbers for reports made outside NDT Intact, on paper or in another program, are taken from the same sequences with Take a number in the register.
